Big House Renovation. Second Floor

This house is unique: when there was stone and painting on the ground floor, the second floor remodeling works included many things made of wood. And that was not an easy task, taking into account that wood is a living substance: it changes its form and color through the time.

For example, we had shiplaps to be installed on the ceiling and partly on the walls. After we made our work, the next day we had to repeat half of work from the very beginning. The wood tended to go spiral, and we had to do the same staff again, and the seams had to be finished with patching and sanding before painting. The result is wonderful! That was the real goal. But "the more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war".
